  Flight Instruction

Most flight schools offer excellent instruction packages from good instructors.  The training you receive is tailored to enable you to pass the required tests.  However, if you are considering using instrument rating privileges to their fullest extent you may wish to consider training with an instructor experienced flying in very poor weather.  The instruction I can arrange comes from experienced oceanic delivery pilots and airline pilots based throughout the United States.

Instrument Training

Obtaining an instrument rating can give you some very valuable skills.  Some pilots obtain an instrument rating to ensure they can get out of trouble, never needing to fly IFR for any reason.  Whether you currently have the rating or not, the training I can arrange is for the pilot owner who fully intends to file and fly IFR on a regular basis.  The skills you obtain from an instructor experienced flying in poor weather, using busy airspace and terminal areas will prove cost effective and rewarding.  The instruction will be tailored to your needs and will explore areas sometimes overlooked such as icing experience, practical weather radar/stormscope use, IFR taxiing at large airports and single pilot IFR operations.  Wherever possible, almost all of the instruction will take place in cloud and poor weather instead of using an artificial hood.  Busy airports will also be favored over smaller airports.

Long Range Cross Country Training

If you would like to receive training while exploring the United States or other North American countries away from the normal traffic pattern, you may wish to consider employing a domestic delivery pilot/instructor.  Planning a long navigation exercise covering several states can be fun and challenging.  The instruction you receive will focus on areas sometimes missed in traditional training such as accurate performance assessment, range flying, fuel management, reading weather patterns in-flight and cost effective flying.

Flight Review and Instrument Proficiency Check

Our pilots are able to to complete a flight review and instrument proficiency check for you.  Usually, we try and complete these reviews as part of accompanied flights or advanced training to save the owner additional cost.  We can tailor a flight review or IPC for you during your next planned trip.  A minimum flight time of 1 hour and ground time of 1 hour will be required.

High Altitude Endorsement

Should you require a high altitude endorsement from a suitably qualified airline instructor we can help.  Simply make room for one of our pilots on your next trip and we will conduct a thorough review of the oxygen system and operation as well as practical emergency descent training.

Airline Operations and Multi Crew Training

If you wish to gain experience operating in a multi crew environment we can help.  We will design flows, flight profiles and crew roles for your aircraft (Cessna 172 to King Air).  Our airline instructors and pilots will then fly with you and mirror airline operations as closely as possible.  This training can prove invaluable for the prospective airline pilot.  Ground time will be essential prior to flight.

Costs
